- Meeting convened at 1:38 PM
- New Members, Withdrawal Cards, Vacations Changes accepted as read.
- Board will seek a candidate for judge of Local 1212 scholarship awards.
- CBS member appeared before Board.
- The Treasurer’s report was Accepted as read.
The Business Manager's Report
CBS:
- Met with management to discuss discipline letter issued to member.
- Site visit to Super Bowl; met with members and management.
CBS Library:
- Met with unit to discuss one year contract extension. Extension ratified by members.
WCBS:
- Arbitration settled on behalf of member.
- Met with management on the termination and suspension of members.
WNJU:
- Met with attorney to discuss ongoing negotiations and NBC renting office space and parking space at WNJU.
PVI:
- Met with committee to discuss upcoming negotiations.
PPS/UN:
- Met with management to discuss various issues.
- Attended shop meeting to discuss construction at UN and training on new equipment being installed at UN.
WPIX:
- Negotiations continue with company. Met with negotiating committee and with union attorney to discuss ongoing negotiations.
- Met with shop to update the unit on negotiation, arbitrations and other shop issues.
Radio (WFAN, WNEW, WINS):
- Met with members to discuss proposals. Contracts ratified.
Univision (WXTV, WADO):
- Awaiting dates from company for commencement of negotiations.
SONY/BMG:
- Met with committee to discuss negotiations which have begun with Company.
- Site visit made to meet with members to discuss negotiations & various shop issues.
Tele-Measurements, Inc.:
- Met with members to discuss various issues in the shop.
- Grievances filed on layoff and sub-contracting.
HBO:
- Site visit to Long Island facility. Met with management on disciplinary letters issued to members.
- Site visit to New York studios. Shop issues discussed with members.
OFFICE:
- Various members attended Electrical Workers Minority Caucus.
