Absolute Shocker of the Week

This week’s Absolute Shocker is a reminder about ensuring all the guards are installed before using tools.

The reader, who sent in these photos, wrote: “This is how not to use a power saw. The user had removed the guards to use on another saw, but couldn’t find the other saw. Seeing as he only needed to make two cuts, he used this piece of equipment.”

It does not matter if you have one or 1000 cuts to make, ensure that the tools are in good working order and with all the guards attached.

These operators can consider themselves very lucky that the cut was not worse.
